Project Update: Huntsville A-Frame Home Enters Winter Construction Phase

At our mountain modern build in Huntsville, Utah, winter has officially arrived, but progress has not slowed. With the home blanketed in fresh snow, this week’s update highlights some of the most exciting interior and exterior milestones.

Floor-to-Ceiling Glass Takes Center Stage
Inside the main living area, the expansive two-story window wall is now fully installed. These massive panes frame one of the best views in the valley, overlooking the lake and stretching out toward the distant snow-covered mountains. Even with temporary construction film still in place, the amount of natural light pouring in already transforms the space.
The upper gable windows add to the signature A-frame look and create a dramatic vaulted wall that anchors the entire home’s design.

Interior Drywall and Vaulted Ceilings
Drywall work is well underway throughout the interior. The vaulted ceiling in the great room is nearly finished and showcases both the height and the volume of the space. Smooth texture, recessed lighting, and clean modern lines are starting to define the home’s bright, open aesthetic.
Looking back toward the loft, framing details and the upper overlook windows are now fully visible. This gives a clear sense of how the space will connect visually across different levels of the home.

Exterior Progress Despite Snow
Outside, the home stands beautifully against the winter backdrop. The mixed vertical siding, deep modern color palette, and steep roof pitch give the home a mountain-modern character that fits naturally into the hillside.
The drone photo captures the home’s three levels stacked cleanly, with covered decks on both the main and lower levels. These areas will be perfect for taking in panoramic views year-round.
Even with snow-packed drives and cold temperatures, exterior work continues to move forward right on schedule.
