Construction is well underway on our latest custom home in Huntsville, Utah—an A-frame design overlooking Pineview Reservoir with a detached garage and bold mountain presence.
The framing is in progress, and the vision is starting to take shape. Seeing the steel beams go up against the backdrop of the lake and hills has been a powerful reminder of why we build the way we do. This home is designed not just to sit on the land, but to connect with it.
Right now, the main structure is being framed, including the massive angled walls that give the home its signature profile. The detached garage is also framed and roughed in, sitting just up the drive. From the road, you can already feel the structure’s presence.
We’ve worked closely with the clients and architect to make sure every angle of this home serves a purpose—from view corridors to natural light, to structural integrity that can handle the demands of a Utah mountain climate.
It’s still early in the process, but the direction is clear. This is going to be a one-of-a-kind home, and we’re proud to bring it to life.
More to come.
The A-frame design of the home is not only visually striking but also functional, maximizing the use of natural light and providing stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The unique angled walls create a sense of openness while maintaining structural integrity, essential for the mountainous environment of Huntsville, Utah.
Incorporating large windows and strategically placed openings, the design allows for a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces. This approach not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also ensures that residents can enjoy the beauty of the Pineview Reservoir and the mountains from various vantage points within the home.
The construction of the Huntsville A-frame home is currently in the framing stage, a critical phase that sets the foundation for the rest of the build. This stage involves erecting the walls and roof structure, which are essential for the overall stability and design of the home.
A key aspect of the construction process is the integration of the home with its natural surroundings. The design takes into account the topography and climate of Huntsville, ensuring that the home complements the landscape rather than disrupts it.
This thoughtful approach includes using materials that blend with the environment and positioning the home to take advantage of natural features, such as trees and slopes. By prioritizing this integration, Peterson Builders aims to create a living space that feels harmonious with the beautiful Utah landscape.
Collaboration is at the heart of Peterson Builders' approach, ensuring that the vision for the custom A-frame home aligns with the clients' desires and the architects' expertise. Regular meetings and updates keep all parties informed and engaged throughout the construction process.
This cooperative effort not only fosters a sense of ownership for the clients but also allows for adjustments and enhancements to be made as the project evolves. The result is a home that truly reflects the clients' personality while incorporating innovative design elements suggested by the architects.
