Below is a general overview of Peterson Builders processes. This overview may vary slightly for each custom project, but it serves as a broad guide in helping you know what you can expect.
1. Introductory Visit
During the introductory visit with your Project Developer, we will discuss what you envision for your project, along with general ideas and pricing. This time is an opportunity to ask any questions you may have and receive expert feedback before making a commitment.
2. Pre-Construction
We will have three to four concept meetings with the Specifications Specialist and Project Developer, where we will review the selections that will be needed for your project. You will receive detailed instructions, which would include our authorized suppliers, their contact information, and how to solidify your selections. Once the selections have been made, you will receive a finalized estimate. We understand that each project is unique to the client, so please reach out with any questions or concerns.

3. Contract Signing and Project Kick-Off
We will review a customized agreement that includes pricing, specifications, and scope of work. Once finalized, the agreement authorizes us to start the build. This meeting serves as an introduction to your Project Manager and Superintendent. We will also go over what to expect in the Construction Phase of your project: schedule, billing, communication, etc.
4. Construction
Permits and any other necessary documents are finalized. Trade partners will be scheduled, selections ordered, all work will be completed according the agreement and specifications.
5. Punchlist
Around the time of final inspection, your Project Manager and Superintendent will create a punchlist of items that have yet to be completed or need attention.
6. Final Walkthrough
The final walkthrough gives us a chance to review the project as a team. At this time, an introduction to the Warranty Manager is made, who will review the warranty process with you.
7. Warranty and Home Maintenance
We are proud of the work we complete and are happy to offer…
