Jason Peterson, President and co-owner of Peterson Builders Inc., is a respected leader in Northern Utah’s building industry, with over 30 years of experience in custom home building and renovations. He has been instrumental in over 130 luxury home builds and is a key figure in the Home Builders Association, having influenced industry legislation and code updates. Jason also serves on the DOPL Construction Services Commission and holds both B100 and E100 contractor licenses.
A commitment to excellence and precision drives Jason’s approach, especially when tackling complex projects. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys biking, hiking, and caring for his horses. He and his wife, proud grandparents, look forward to spending time with their growing family

Jason started building over 20 years ago with Peterson Builders Inc., and quickly discovered the industry was riddled with regulatory issues impacting construction practices. The endless parade of codes, ordinances, rules, and laws prompted his involvement in the Home Builders Association. Working through the Home Builders Association, he has helped shape and improve the industry.
The obvious need to protect property rights and keep housing affordable, originally drove him to join the Home Builders Association, but lasting friendships have held him. His peers found fit to elect him as Northern Wasatch Home Builders President. He filled this position with vigor and passion. Jason has served the state for the past 3 years as senior leadership. This position offered him an opportunity to mingle with the finest professionals in the state.
Jason continues to pursue contracting. Each home Peterson Builders builds is a tribute to his character and reflects the integrity that has come to define him. The quality homes built by Jason and Peterson Builders, have brought untold joy to the families living in them. He truly deserves the honor of Builder of the Year for the state of Utah.
