Annual Review Meeting for Peterson Builders

On May 9, the Peterson Builders team gathered for our annual company-wide review — an opportunity to reflect on the progress we made in 2024, recognize lessons learned, and align on goals for the year ahead. Following a team lunch, leaders from each department presented updates on their area of focus. Here’s a recap of the key takeaways:

Department Wins and Lessons Learned

Zach kicked off the meeting by sharing how the Admin and Finance department has worked hard to improve internal speed and workflow processes. These improvements have helped streamline communication and increase overall efficiency across the company.

Kristen – Director of Finance
Kristen highlighted the positive impact of implementing both our FSR (Financial Summary Report) and MSR (Monthly Summary Report). These tools have elevated transparency and accuracy in our financial reporting—benefiting not only our internal teams but also the homeowners and partners we serve.

Jason – Owner
Jason provided an overview of our 2024 performance, sharing project numbers for completed builds, current in-progress homes, and the exciting pipeline of work we have ahead. His outlook for the remainder of the year was optimistic as we continue to grow and take on more custom projects.

Erik – Director of Construction
Erik reflected on the impressive list of projects completed in 2024 and gave a preview of what’s in store for 2025. His remarks emphasized the dedication of our construction crews and their ability to deliver high-quality homes across Northern Utah.

Ryan – Director of Marketing and Sales

Marc – Chief Operating Manager
Marc reminded us that culture drives performance. He spoke about the importance of motivation, teamwork, and resilience, sharing a powerful story about the comeback of racehorse Rich Strike as a symbol of how belief and perseverance can lead to unexpected wins.

Ben – Owner
Wrapping up the meeting, Ben revisited our company vision and the goals we set for 2024. He reviewed whether we hit those targets and shared how we are tracking for 2025. He also reminded the team of our deeper purpose—building not just homes, but relationships, trust, and meaningful experiences for every client.

Building More Than Homes: The Peterson Builders Olympics

After the meeting, the team took the energy outside for the Peterson Builders Olympics. Teams competed in a series of fun, lighthearted challenges designed to build camaraderie and celebrate our team spirit. While only one team took home the prize, the real win was strengthening the connections that make our company great.

As we continue through 2025, we are proud to build on the foundation we’ve set—not just in the homes we create, but in the culture we foster every day.
